Figure Painting

I recently did my first extended figure in my painting class, a three day session. Previously I had done a few two an three hour poses in my figure drawing class, but nothing that lasted multiple class sessions, so this was a fun departure.

Here's the image as it appeared at the end of day's one and two:

And the final piece at the end of day three:

White Project: Step by Step

Our latest project in Painting was to do a still life of entirely white objects on a white background, but we weren't allowed to use white at all until we had the entire under-painting down.

So here's a play by play, from start to almost finish. At least to where I got by the end of class today.

Still Lifes and Portraits

The still life's are from Painting class, the portraits from Figure. Each portrait took a little over an hour, each still life was multiple class sessions.
